Skrypnichenko Igor

Igor Skrypnichenko was born on August 21, 1993, in Poltava. He studied in his native city and grew up in a Christian family. In 2008, Igor sensed the call to the preaching ministry and got baptized.
Since 2014 Igor has been working as a vice-president in the academic sphere and a professor at the Poltava Theological Seminary. He took part in founding departments of the Modern Pastorship and Church Planting, Youth Pastoral Ministry, and Christian Counseling.
Since 2013, he has been mentoring students of the Modern Pastoral Ministry and Church Planting, helping them to develop the Protestant theology, plant new churches, and edify existing ones. Since 2013, Igor has constantly been teaching in Seminary’s Bible schools the local congregations in Kropyvnytskyi, Poltava, Kharkiv, Balakliya, Piryatyn, Orzhitsa, Chernivtsi, Odessa, and Mykolaiv. Thus, he performs the ministry, following the example of one of the respected Protestant theologians, Kevin Vanhuser, who said that to serve means “to return the mind of Jesus Christ to the Body of Jesus Christ.”
In 2014, Igor founded a theological research center at the Poltava Theological Seminary. While teaching hermeneutics and Christian worldview formation courses, Igor Skripnichenko began writing his book on hermeneutics, called “Revival of Discipleship.” He also started preparing lectures on Christian influence fostering revival.
Igor Skrypnichenko is married to Tatiana. They are raising their daughter Solomiya together.
His catchphrase is: “God gave a sword and a trowel into the hands of a servant of Jesus Christ. A sword to destroy everything that does not align with His plan. A trowel for building His Kingdom on earth as in heaven, until the glorious coming of Jesus Christ.”
Education:
Igor began his theological education in 2008 at the Bible school at the Poltava Theological Seminary while still being a high school student. Having graduated from high school, he entered the Poltava Theological Seminary and received a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education. In 2016 he got enrolled the integrated program for writing a doctoral dissertation in theology on the topic “Theological hermeneutics of Kevin Vanhuser.” At the same time, he pursued a master’s degree in political theology at Drahomanov National Pedagogical University.
At the moment, Igor continues the biblical studies at the Evangelical Reformed Seminary of Ukraine.

Gerard D. (George) de Vuyst

Rev. Gerard D. (George) de Vuyst graduated from the Philosophy Department of Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA (www.calvin.edu) in 1993. Received a Master of Divinity degree (magister divinitatis; MDiv) from the Calvin Theological Seminary in 1998 (www.calvinseminary.edu). Certified Master Trainer at the Timothy Discipleship Institute since 2012. Certified Trainer of Trainers at the International School of Reconciliation since 2015. Since his first visit of the Soviet Union in 1988, Rev. de Vuyst was deeply interested in the Soviet Union and the countries of eastern Europe. He came to Ukraine for the first time on January 1, 1992, to study at the Shevchenko University on a special department of the Russian language and Ukrainian history and culture for foreigners. Spent a whole year in Ukraine, he collaborated with the SEND International mission and with the ECB Union. From June to August of 1994 de Vuyst served as a volunteer in the Transcarpathian region, in Hungary and in Romania serving in the summer camps of the Hungarian Reformed Church. In
August 1995, he returned in Transcarpathia for a year to fulfill the requirement of practical ministry for receiving the master’s degree. He served next to Rev. Lazlo Gorkai, pastor of the Transcarpathian Reformed Church in the village of Velikyi Dobron. Rev. de Vuyst was engaged in ministry among youth and the Roma people there. Since 1998 de Vuyst serves with the mission of his denomination, Resonate
Global Mission (formerly Christian Reformed World Missions), in Ukraine. From 1998 to 2013, he lived in Mukachevo and trained missionaries for the Carpathian Reformed Church, he founded the Christian Reformed Church in Mukachevo, and began to develop the ministry of Timothy Discipleship Institute in Ukraine. In 2013 Rev. de Vuyst moved to Kiev to continue developing the Timothy’s program in Ukraine and to begin new trainings in pedagogy, as well as the healing and reconciliation ministry “Healing Hearts, Transforming Nations”. Rev. De Vuyst is married and has three children.

Currently, he is serving in Ukraine, teaching the Bible and developing Gospel-centered churches. He is an author of “Jesus and redemption narrative in the Scripture”. He also speaks at numerous seminars in Canada and Ukraine that help Christians to read the Bible focusing on Christ. He desires to see salvation and transformation made by the power of the Gospel through discipleship. The question he always asks is: “If the Gospel is really true, what will glorify God the most in this situation?”.

Johannes Justus

Pastor Johaness Justus was born in 1957. He is a President of The Federation of Free Pentecostal Churches of Germany (BFP) and at the same time leading pastor of the Christian Church Elim in Hannover, Germany. He actively serves in his native country and also overseas as a trainer, church couтselor, and speaker at international conferences.
Johannes is married to Irene Justus since 1976. They have 6 own children, 1 adopted kid, and 14 grandchildren. Johannes was born in Kluchi (Kazakh SSR) where he attended the baptist church from a young age. He had pursued special education in the fields of electrical and aviation engineering in Kazakhstan before he and his family immigrated to Germany in November 1988. There, he started working as an engineer and the project manager at the engineering company. Pursuing the second education, Johannes started learning theology at BFP and was ordained on the pastoral ministry in 2000. Serving at the Free Christian church in Nienburg (Freie Christengemeinde Nienburg), Johannes also worked as an educational ministry leader at BFP in the Weser-Ems region. In 2009 Johanness became the pastor of Christian Church Elim in Hannover. In the process of professional skills improvement, Johannes studied at the University of Leibniz in Hannover. From 2010 to 2012 he was a regional leader of BFP churches in the Niedersachsen Ost area. Johaness Justus is the President of the Federation of Free Pentecostal Churches of Germany (BFP) since September 2012.
Johaness is passionate about planting and supporting strong and growing churches. He strives for the establishment of God’s Kingdom on all levels and people’s reconciliation with God. He makes a major contribution to the partnership among the churches, in particular, as a member of the Evangelical Alliance Presidium of Germany ( Evangelische Allianz Deutschland).
Johaness enjoys supporting and developing gifted individuals, especially ordained ministers, in the process of their ministry and growth of their talents. Meanwhile, he draws a special attention to the work of the Holy Spirit and maintains the openness to the supernatural power of God among the Christians. Rudy Duke

Rudy Duke was born in Kazakhstan in 1968 in the Christian family. In 1979 his family immigrated to Germany. In February 1980 Rudy decided to dedicate his life to God. After completion of the theological education, he founded the “International Christian Camps” mission. As a result, thousands of teenagers and young people came to the living faith in Jesus Christ.
After graduation from the Academy for Christian Leaders, he founded the Institute of Leadership and Administration for the Russian-speaking leaders from Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Mongolia, China, and the USA. Besides being a leader of the missionary organization, Rudy is the pastor of «Schöne Aussicht Church. Rudy Duke is married to Olga Duke. They have three own children and a married ward.
His motto is: “The one who teaches others changes their lives forever”.

Sergey Vituykov

Pastor and teacher Sergey Vityukov was born in the city of Saint Petersburg in the Christian family. He came to God at the age of 12. He has been participating in church ministry since the age of 24. Since 1988 Sergey has served as pastor and teacher. He pursued his Master’s degree in Theology at Vision International University. Sergey spent his childhood in Ukraine. He founded the “Renewal Ministries” mission in 1998. This mission is aimed at spreading the Word of God, helping Christians in their spiritual formation, family counseling, and preparation of leaders for the harmonic building of the body of Christ in the USA and CIS countries. Hundreds of students became ministers and leaders after completion of these programs. Sergey Vityukov and his wife raise three children – Valeria, Avenir, and Avel.

Yaroslav Lukasik

Yaroslav Lukasik has been a director of the Eastern European Leadership Forum since 2011. He is also a founder of the church called “John the Baptist” (Minsk, Belarus) and has been a senior pastor there for many years. In 2001 he initiated the movement of the New Reformation in Belarus that consolidated many churches of different denominations for the spreading of the Christian worldview in Belarus society. Yaroslav runs the “School of Society Reformation”. At the end of 2010, Yaroslav and the team of young Christians started the “Podolsky club”, the project called to “help believers to thinks, and thinkers to believe”. Yaroslav, his wife Natalia, and their four children have been living in Kyiv since 2008.

Denis Serdichenko

Denis Serdichenko was born on March 20, 1979, in Izmail.
Nationality – Ukrainian. Married and has three children.
2000 – graduated from Kyiv Bible Institute with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.
2001 – was ordained for the fervent ministry at the “Central Church” in the city of Odessa.
2008 – was elected to be a senior pastor at the “Central Church” in the city of Odessa.
2009 – graduated from Evangelical Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Arts in the sphere of Christian studies.
In childhood, Denis absorbed spiritual, moral, and ethical values in the family of his father Serdichenko Peter who was a bishop, and his mother Tatiana Serdichenko who was a deacon. The Christian traditions of parenting, the example of love, faithfulness, and mercy prevailed in their family and then, have been passed on all of their nine children. As a result, all of them are involved in the ministry.
Knowledge in Theology and Psychology were gained at Kyiv Bible Institute in 2000. Additional theological knowledge Denis gained at Evangelical Theological Seminary he graduated in 2009.

Vasiliy Novakovets was born in 1975 in Korosten, Zhytomyrska oblast’ in the nominal orthodox family. Having studied at vocational training school he heard the Gospel from his peers. Vasiliy decided to dedicate his life to God in Fall, 1992. He was baptized in the local Baptist church in Summer, 1993. Vasiliy gradually pursues theological education.
1994-1996 – studying at the Bible College of Saint Jacob in Kyiv.
1996-1997, 1997-2001 – studies at Odessa Theological Seminary; graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.
2007-2012 – studying at Talbot School of Theology (branch in Kyiv); Mater’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies.
Currently, Vasiliy is pursuing his second Master’s degree (concentration – administration of the higher educational institutions) at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University in Odesa.
Vasiliy has been working in the field of theological education since 2001.
2001- 2003 – secretary/assistant at the Euro-Asian Accrediting Association.
2003- 2015 – Vasiliy was working at Odessa Theological Seminary starting his career as a teacher’s assistant and ending up as an academic dean.
Since 2015 he has been coordinating the extramural program at Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary in Lviv.
Vasiliy teaches homiletics, hermeneutics, Old and New Testaments overview at different theological schools; takes interest in the history of the Evangelical Baptist movement in Ukraine; speaks at different events on the relevant topics. Vasiliy is an author of more than 30 theological, historical, and pedagogical publications, including 2 articles in professional-pedagogical editions.
Since 2000 Vasiliy has been participating in publication projects, in particular, as a coordinator of the series “National Evangelical Authors”(2008-2015) and “Ukrainian training Bible”(since 2015).
In 2000 Vasiliy got married to Anastasia. They live in Odessa and have three children.

Mykola Savchuk is a bishop, pastor of the Church of Salvation in Vyshneve (Kyiv region). He was born into a family of nonbelievers, but at the age of 10 he converted to the Lord as a result of a miraculous healing from bone tuberculosis. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In his ministry he pays special attention to the development of the system of home groups, mass and personal evangelism, mentoring, working with the younger generation. Scott E. Hoezee

Rev. Scott E. Hoezee is an ordained pastor in the Christian Reformed Church in North America and has served two congregations. He was the pastor of Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, Michigan, from 1990-1993. Then from 1993-2005 he was the Minister of Preaching and Administration at Calvin CRC in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In the spring of 2005 Scott accepted the Seminary’s offer to become the first Director of the Center for Excellence in Preaching. He has also been a member of the Pastor-Theologian Program sponsored by the Center of Theological Inquiry in Princeton, New Jersey, where he was pastor-in-residence in the fall of 2000. From 2001-2011 Scott served on the editorial board of Perspectives: A Journal of Reformed Thought and was co-editor of that journal from 2005-2011 and now blogs every other week for the Reformed Journal blog “The Twelve.”

Rev.
